Pre-Meeting & Special School Committee Meeting

On Monday, March 17, at 7:00 pm, the school committee is having a special meeting to discuss next year. Everyone in our district WILL be affected. The SC will announce whether they will move forward with redistricting or not. The Superintendent has been tasked with providing a budget that has cuts of 1 million dollars. With that being said, many of us will be losing our jobs, or your colleagues will, many of our class sizes will be increased, and programs might be cut. Everything is on the table.
Please attend this meeting at the community center in person wearing your green GEA shirt, or attend virtually, making sure your affiliation as a school member is clear.
This has ramifications for all of us.
Members are invited to a pre-meeting at Smitty’s Pub on Chapman Street for pizza to discuss further (beverages available for purchase).
